For approximatly six months I continued work on an existing Rabobank project. I was challenged with the task of building improvements to the existing quantum approach.
Quantum computing can potentially solve complex optimization problems faster than classical computers by leveraging quantum superposition and entanglement to explore multiple solutions simultaneously.
With an updated approach, I was able to provide a solution to Rabobank that, although affected by hardware limitations being slightly noisy, showed a drastic improvement in time complexity.
As part of a team, I contributed to an ongoing Rabobank project, where we advanced their quantum-based approach to (non-linear) portfolio optimization using the D-Wave package and Python. We utilized the D-Wave API to run optimization algorithms on real quantum hardware, enabling us to solve complex problems that traditional computing couldn’t address. The project also focused on sustainable investing, including meeting specific CO2 emission targets. By leveraging quantum hardware, we were able to tackle larger optimization problems with more constraints—an approach that traditional systems would struggle to handle. This cutting-edge work has great potential, and as quantum hardware and software continue to evolve, it promises exciting developments for the future.

Statistics made up a large part of the final exams of HAVO/VWO students in the Netherlands. I helped them grasp fundamental topics in this domain.
(Pre)-Calculus is by far one of the most important parts of the high school curiculum. Prepearing students for more engineering oriented studies after.
Trigonometry was an essential part of the mathetmatics curiculum across all levels.
Worked as a private tutor in both one-on-one and small group (1:3) settings, guiding students through key exercises and preparing them for final exams. This experience enhanced my communication skills and my ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and understandable way.
